WVU issued RFQ for energy project

West Virginia University has issued a request for qualifications (RFQ) to solicit Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from qualified firms for one or more Steam Plants (and potentially other utilities) at the University’s Morgantown, West Virginia campus in USA.

Under the terms of the project agreement, the contract is expected to have a term of approximately 25-35 years following financial close. The private partner will be responsible for the design, development, construction, financing, operation and maintenance of Steam Plant; including the design and construction of the Steam Plant and any new connections and tunnel infrastructure, the connection of the Steam Plant to the University’s existing piping and tunnel infrastructure, and the operation and maintenance of the Steam Plant. The private partner shall provide all necessary financing for the project, subject to the University’s right to provide funding for certain elements. The project is expected to reach financial close in September 2023.
