The World Bank Group has debarred Colas Madagascar S.A., a construction company and a subsidiary of France’s Colas S.A. due to its connection with collusive and fraudulent practices as a part of airports expansion PPP project in Madagascar.

The project, which is supported by IFC, provides partial financing for the design and development of the expansion and renovation works of the two main airports in Madagascar: the Ivato International Airport and the Fascene Airport.

The debarment makes Colas Madagascar S.A. and its subsidiary, CMBI SNC, ineligible to participate in projects and operations financed by institutions of the World Bank Group.
