The Ministry of Public Works and Communications has announced that significant progress has been achieved in the construction work of the 180-bed Great Hospital of Coronel Oviedo in Caaguazu, Paraguay.
The construction works are carried out by the consortium comprising Jiménez Gaona y Lima SA, Itasca SA and Proel Engineering. At the moment, the masonry works are in progress along with pillars and heads of the hospital´s three blocks. The foundation works including piles and slabs have been completed.
The Hospital will also have its own effluent treatment plant, hospital waste treatment plant and oxygen generation plant.
The Hospital building will be approximately 20,000 square meters and will also have a parking lot with a capacity for approximately 1,000 vehicles and a fully equipped heliport to receive ambulance helicopters.
