The Ministry of Transportation and Public Works (MTOP), to reactivate the Reconstruction works, has taken the necessary steps to make the payment and accreditation of resources from the pending payroll to the contractor company of the project called Reconstruction of the Municipal Headquarters of Portoviejo Phase I in Ecuador.
With the disbursement of over US$329,000 on June 21, 2024, the contractor has 30 days to complete pending tasks. These tasks include installing photovoltaic cells, internal divisions, and security equipment previously removed to prevent theft. The photovoltaic cells will energize Phase I and enable interconnectivity with Phase II. Phase I reconstruction of the Municipal Headquarters of Portoviejo involved structural reinforcement, constructing a 5-story C1 block with a basement, and installing advanced network, data, electrical, and fire protection systems. The project is currently 98% complete.
