Webuild Group has won a water sector project worth a total of EUR 91 million (US$ 98 million) and foresees enlarging and managing for four years the wastewater treatment plant of Vicenza, Italy.

The upcoming contract for the project, commissioned by Viacqua S.p.A., the water service management company of the province of Vicenza, is expected to be finalized in the coming days. This endeavor is significant for the region as it will cater to approximately 300,000 residents of Vicenza and nearby areas. The project entails the development of the executive design, clearance operations, and optimization of the sewage and wastewater system in the Vicenza area.

Fisia Italimpianti (Webuild Group) will oversee the construction, leading a consortium with a 69.8% stake, alongside partners ICM, Integra, and STA. The consortium will also be responsible for managing both routine and extraordinary maintenance activities for the plant during the initial four years following its commissioning. The project is slated for completion within a five-year timeframe.
