The Société des Grands Project has selected French civil engineer NGE and Italian contractor Webuild to build a section of Metro Line 15 (Grand Paris Express) in the Île de France area.
They will work on a section in the northwest quadrant of the ring, between the future Bécon-les-Bruyères and Les Grésillons stations. The project involves designing and constructing four underground stations and 7 km of tunnels. Webuild will manage 45.5% of the contract. The agreement includes designing and building four underground stations, approximately 7 km of tunnels to be excavated using TBMs, and six functional structures between the Pont de Sèvres and Saint-Denis Pleyel stations. The work will be executed by a joint venture comprising Webuild, NGE, Equans France, and TSO. Line 15, which will span 75 km and become France’s longest metro line, will encircle Paris with 36 stations crossing 45 municipalities and 4 departments in the Île-de-France region. 95% of the new lines will connect to the existing transport network, including Transilien services, RER, metros, tramways, and buses.
The Grand Paris Express project includes constructing approximately 200 km of lines and 68 stations. The entire network will be almost 90% underground and is expected to transport over 3 million people daily upon completion.
