PT Waskita Toll Road (WTR), a subsidiary of state-owned construction giant PT Waskita Karya (WSKT), has divested two sections of the Transjavan Toll Road to the Indonesian Investment Authority (INA).
The agreement was signed by INA's subsidiaries PT Rafflesia Investasi Indonesia and PT Abhinaya Investasi Indonesia. The sale of the plots came after INA brought in three investors from Europe, America and the Middle East to finance the project. Kanci-Pejagan and Pejagan-Pemalang sections with a length of 94 km make up about 8% of the total Trans-Java Toll Road. WSKT decided to sell two sections of the road for the financial improvement of the company, despite the fact that tolls were the main source of income.
WTR operates as a general contractor. The company provides construction activities including highways, bridges, ports, airports, buildings etc.
