The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) in Washington DC, USA has announced public comment period for smart street light PPP. The project scope of works involves converting 75,000 streetlights to energy-efficient LED, installation of nodes in each light allowing remote dimming and monitoring, maintain and improve streetlight assets in a state of good repair, and mounting wireless access points to select poles to extend DC-NET public Wi-Fi. DDOT will use design, build, operate, finance, and maintenance - DBFOM procurement process.
The public can comment on the project RFP summary documents until January 15, 2021. The RFP is comprised of three separate documents and their appendices: Instructions to Proposers, Project Agreement, and the Technical Provisions. More information about the public comment period can be found here.
