Vitol has made a financial commitment with the VLC Renewables fund

It has been recently announced that a privately-owned investor known as Low Carbon and Vitol have announced the closing of a Jersey-based fund aimed at investing in renewable energy assets across Europe.

The fund will look to invest in both onshore and offshore wind assets, focusing on projects in various stages of the development cycle.

Vitol has declared in a statement it has committed an initial €200 million (US$234 million) to the fund, called VLC Renewables.
