VINCI Energies has acquired the German telecommunications infrastructure company OFM. In operation for over 50 years, OFM has built up expertise in telecoms infrastructure, where it provides services in engineering, installation, and maintenance of fixed-line networks. The development of fiber optic networks currently accounts for the major part of its business activities. OFM is the sector’s main player in Bavaria and neighboring Länder in eastern Germany.
OFM will join Axians, the VINCI Energies brand specializing in services and solutions in information and communications technologies.
With this latest acquisition, VINCI Energies is taking positions in Germany in the buoyant market for fast communications infrastructure and business networks. This strategic positioning in forward-looking technologies such as FTTH and 5G reflects the company’s belief that rolling out such technologies is a lever for innovation as part of digital transformation.
