Vinci airports filed criminal complaint against Avianca Brasil

Vinci Airports, concessionaire of Luis Eduardo Magalhaes airport, has filed a criminal complaint against Avianca Brasil airline on grounds of misappropriation of funds. Located in the city of Salvador Luis Eduardo Magalhaes airport handles around 9 million passengers yearly.

According to concessionaire, Avianca Brazil has not been forwarding boarding fees starting from July 2018 and amounting BRL 10 million (US$ 2.55 million). This amount is not included in a BRL 2.7 billion (US$ 0.69 billion) debt bankruptcy protection process of Avianca. According to sources Avianca is also not forwarding boarding fees to other concessionaires including Zurich International Airport and Fraport AG Frankfurt Airport Services.
