The Center for monitoring energy sector operations and Investments has started the operation phase of the Varaždin General Hospital in Croatia.
The hospital has a capacity of 750 beds and provides a wide range of medical services, including general surgery, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, and psychiatry. It serves as a major healthcare center in the region, providing a wide range of medical services to the local population. The hospital is equipped with modern medical facilities and staffed by trained healthcare professionals.
The new facility will have an area for emergency hospital admissions, spanning about 3,000 sq m. It will be located at the main entrance of the hospital. The second phase will involve constructing a central operation block building with an intensive care unit, central sterilization, transfusions, and RTG units, connecting to surrounding hospital buildings through connecting corridors. The ground floor will feature a combined emergency hospital reception, while the first floor will house a day hospital (outpatient facility). There will be a special entrance for emergency vehicle access. The facility will include triage, resuscitation, and isolation rooms, emergency cases, a room for cast placement and removal, as well as spaces for interventions, small surgical procedures, and telemedicine.
