The Ministry of Health in Uzbekistan has opened two dialysis centers in Urgench and Bogot, Khorezm, Uzbekistan.
In January 2021, the Government of Uzbekistan selected Nephroplus as a concessionaire for dialysis centers public-private partnership (PPP). The concession includes design, finance, construction, equip, training and management work for four dialysis clinics located in Nukus, Bogot, Urgench and Tashkent. Earlier this year, the dialysis center located in Nukus commenced operations. The last and largest dialysis center located in Tashkent city is expected to be operational by end of 2022. Once all four centers are operational they will provide more than 140,000 sessions per year for more than 1,000 patients.
The dialysis project, the first international PPP project in healthcare in Uzbekistan, was structured with the help of the International Finance Corporation (IFC).
