The Ministry of Health in Uzbekistan has launched the first Public-Private Partnership dialysis center in Nukus. The project will serve to reduce mortality and improve the quality of life of patients with renal insufficiency.
Nephroplus won the tender for the provision of high-quality dialysis services in January 2021. The company will be responsible for financing, construction, equipping, training and management of four dialysis clinics in Tashkent, the Republic of Karakalpakstan and the Khorezm region, as well as providing dialysis services in more than 140,000 sessions per year for more than 1,000 patients.
The project was implemented by the Ministry of Health with the support of the International Finance Corporation (IFC). Similar dialysis centers will be established in Bagat, Tashkent and Urgench.
