The Government of Uzbekistan (GoU), through its Ministry of Energy, has launched a request for expression of interest for the development of a 200 MW solar project in Sherabod.
The tender for the Sherabad Solar IPP project involves the design, build, finance, own, operate, and maintain (and potentially decommission) under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) scheme. The facility will also include the development of the 220kV substation and a 52 km transmission line that will connect the project to the Surkhan 220 kV substation and transfer to the JSC National Electric Networks of Uzbekistan (NENU).
The tender is launched in partnership with the Asian Development that acts as the transaction advisor to Uzbekistan.
The request for proposal is expected to be launched by May 2020.
The deadline for the submission of the interests is on February 22, 2020.
