The Ministry of Housing and Communal Services in Uzbekistan has awarded the Namangan wastewater treatment plant concession to a joint venture (JV) of Metito and Almar Water Solutions.
The JV will be responsible for the development of wastewater plant with a capacity to process 100,000 m³ per day as well as for the construction of a 7.5 km long wastewater pipeline network. The concession period for the project is 25 years, of which 2 years are for the construction.
With the estimated investment value of US$90 million, the project has been developed with the support of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) together with the PPP Development Agency of Uzbekistan.
