Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) has issued a Request for Selection (RFS) for the development of Grid Connected Solar Power Plants in Uttar Pradesh, India.
The project involves the installation of Grid Connected Solar Power Plants of 0.5 MW / 1.0 MW / 1.5 MW / 2 MW (AC) capacity. The plants will be built primarily on barren/uncultivable land, pasturelands and marshlands owned by individual farmers, preferably within a 5 km radius of the 22 identified 33/11KV substations in the state. The selected developer will be responsible for the construction and operation of the plant and will own the energy asset. A Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) will be signed between Procurer (DISCOM) and Successful Bidder(s) for 25 years.
