UTS, a VINCI Highways’ subsidiary, has opened the newly-delivered MSP 1, a 39km tolled section of the M-11 highway, which will link Moscow and St Petersburg upon completion. The section bypasses the cities of Solnechnogorsk and Klin, which count among the busiest traffic areas in the Moscow region.

Avtodor, the public company in charge of the management of Russian highways, estimates that about 30,000 vehicles are expected every day. The segment contains four toll plazas.

The kicked-off operation ceremony was attended by Maxim Akimov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Yevgeny Dietrich, Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation, Sergey Kelbakh, President of Avtodor, and Thierry Puy, CEO of UTS.
