Swedish pension and insurance group Folksam has invested SEK5.6 billion (USD 550.8 million) in the Copenhagen Infrastructure V (CI V) fund.
CI V has achieved an initial closing of EUR 5.6 billion (USD 6.1 billion) toward its fundraising goal of EUR 12 billion (USD 13.1 billion). CI V aims to vary its investments across technologies including contracted offshore wind, energy storage, onshore wind, and solar in low-risk OECD countries spanning North America, Western Europe, and the Asia Pacific region. The investment has positively impacted Folksam's anticipated returns and underscores a comprehensive commitment to sustainability, emphasizing investments in the energy transition.
