Vistry Group has exchanged contracts via its Countryside Partnerships brand, with the South West’s Housing Association, LiveWest, for the delivery of 259 mixed-tenure homes in Sherford, on the outskirts of Plymouth in South Devon, UK.
With an investment of GBP76 million (US$ 96 million), Countryside Partnerships will oversee the construction of a total of 259 homes. This includes 114 affordable homes developed in collaboration with LiveWest and 145 private homes under the Countryside Homes brand. This initiative is part of the broader Sherford development, an ambitious residential project spanning across Plymouth and the South Hams countryside.
Upon completion, Sherford will boast a total of 5,500 new homes distributed across three distinct neighborhoods. The development will feature various community facilities, including a town center, four schools, a leisure center, sports facilities, extensive transport links, and ample green spaces, including a 500-acre country park. This endeavor aims to expedite the much-needed delivery of high-quality, affordable homes in the South West, supporting the goal of enabling local residents to remain in their communities and contributing to the strengthening of the Sherford community.
