The National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) has provided BRL53.4 million (US$10.22 million) financing to Águas da Condessa SA, concessionaire of the SAAB group for the Water and Sewage sanitation project in Paraíba do Sul, south-central part of State of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The concessionaire is responsible for the management of basic water and sewage sanitation systems and services in the urban perimeter of the municipality. The scope of the project includes the implementation of 6.5 km of treated water pipelines, 4.3 km of water distribution network, construction of three treated water reservoirs, in addition to the execution of 3,270 sewage connections, construction of a sewage treatment station and implementation of 21.6 km of the sewage collection network.
