Snow College, a two-year public university located in central Utah, in the western Unites States, is preparing to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) this month for the design, construction, financing and maintenance of a student housing facility on its Richfield campus.
Snow College plans to conduct a two stage selection process to evaluate all responses to the RFP. The first stage will be to ascertain the qualifications of respondents; the second stage will be to review presentations and detailed proposals of a shortlist of final bidders. According to a draft document available online, responses will be due in October, while presentations will held in November.
The housing facility will be constructed in three phases across an approximately 5-acre site. Phase one will consist of housing for 100 students and be completed by July 2019. Phases two and three, which concern additional buildings but will be clarified in full after phase one is completed, will be initially offered to the preferred bidder with first right of refusal, though further RFPs may be required.
The length of the signed agreement will not exceed 40 years.
