The Municipality of Campinas has published a notice of alteration of the Bid Notice for the provision of public lighting services in Campinas, Brazil under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP).
The PPP project involves the modernization of around 122,000 public lighting points, using LED lamps and remote management. The project covers installation, modernization, efficiency, expansion, management, operation and maintenance services for a period of 13 years. It will benefit approximately 1,200,000 city inhabitants and will lead to reduced energy consumption, improving the quality of services and valuing urban spaces, such as tourist attractions. In addition, the project will contribute to the reduction of energy consumption and crime in the municipality.
The decision to update the bid was motivated by requests for clarification submitted by interested companies. The auction will take place on November 29, 2021. The republished notice is available here.
