The South Coast British Columbia Transportation Authority (TransLink) has published an Addendum to the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for the Surrey-Newton-Guildford Light Rail Transit (LRT) project, extending the submission deadline to 21 November.
The RFQ was issued on 5 September, inviting private parties to submit qualifications for the design, construction, operation, maintenance, rehabilitation and partial financing of a 10.5km street-level light rail service connecting the Guilford and Newton neighbourhoods of Surrey, a city in British Columbia, south-west Canada. The original deadline was 31 October.
The project has an estimated total investment of CAD1.65 billion (US$1.27 billion). TransLink anticipates identifying up to three respondents to be invited to participate in the Request for Proposals (RFP) phase of the selection process.
