The Alachua County Commission in Florida, USA has received an unsolicited proposal for a public-private partnership regarding the US$ 40 million multi-purpose sports complex in the county. The county is accepting proposals until October 21, 2020, if no other private investors submit the proposals than the county will decide on the approval of the project in November 2020.

The project can be funded partially from the development taxes or bed tax, as the sport complex would contribute to the bed taxes with more hotel stays. The project is expected to be operational by 2024, as it would take at least a year to finalize the design and two years for construction works.
