The University of Hawaii has launched a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the development of a housing project in its Mānoa campus under a public-private partnership (P3) scheme.
The selected private partner will develop, design, build, finance, operate, and maintain a family-oriented mixed-use rental housing project that includes a child-care and commercial spaces components.
The project would be located on the 2.21-acre former site of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s National Marine Fisheries Service building at 2570 Dole Street.
The development agreement and long-term ground lease will be negotiated between UH and the selected developer and would be subject to review and final action by the Board of Regents.
