The University of Minnesota Rochester (UMR) together with Rochester Family YMCA is requesting Proposals from qualified organizations to form a public-private partnership to develop facilities that will support campus growth in line with ongoing plans for development in downtown Rochester.
The project envisions facilities expansion to support 1000 students, with additional facilities needs expected in the future. It involves the development of new student housing, academic and recreational space. It also involves the development of YMCA Health and Wellbeing Center on the campus of UMR.
The project will be located in Downtown Rochester.
The deadline to submit proposals is on December 18, 2019. The negotiations with the private partner are expected to start by Spring 2020 and the project is planned to be completed by May 2022.
