The ministry of Infrastructure in Ukraine is planning to launch the concession process for four seaports in 2020. The authority has selected ports in Mariupol, Berdyansk, Chernomorsk, as well as a part of the Odessa seaport in the preliminary selection process.
The infrastructure minister has stated that they will also promote the PPP model for other ports in the future. He also stated that the Ukrainian government is aiming to
establish mutually beneficial cooperation between the state and private business.
The head of the Sea Port Administration has explained that the 4 concessions will concern the project in the abovementioned ports: a railway ferry complex in Chernomorsk Port, a passenger complex (includes a seaport and a hotel) in Odessa seaport, as well as property complexes of the Berdyansk Commercial Sea Port and the Mariupol Commercial Sea Port.
