Watford Borough Council has published a notice in the European Union's official journal that it is discontinuing the tender process for a car park project. Private parties were invited to apply to design, construction, financing and operation of a new multi-storey car park in the borough, located in Hertfordshire, south-east England, last month, with a submission deadline of 8 October 2018.
The council has not indicated the reasons behind the discontinuation. Valued at GBP100 million (US$130.6 million), the car park was to form part of a mixed-use regeneration development and consolidate existing parking facilities at Watford General Hospital.
