The University of Florida (UF) has delayed the request for proposal (RFP) deadline for its Central energy plant public-private partnership (PPP) project.

The deadline to respond to the RFP for the DBFOM for the project has been pushed to late October, 2022 from the original target of September because one bidder dropped out of the auction. 1 team out of 4 will not apply because they missed one of the deadlines set by the UF. The Swamp Partners consortium of companies such as Fengate Asset Management, Bond Building Construction, Vicinity Energy and Vanderweil Engineers are no longer bidding.

Among the shortlisted consortiums are the following:

  • Gator Campus Energy (NextEra Energy, Sacyr and Star America);
  • Gator Campus Utility Partners (John Laing and Clearway Energy);
  • Gator Energy Services (Meridiam, Balfour Beatty and Noresco).
