The government of Undine, a city and a comune in northeastern Italy, has launched a tender process to develop a waste facility trough the public private partnership (PPP) model.
The project involves the design, build, finance, operation and maintenance of a waste treatment complex during a period of 23 years.
The total project investment is estimated at €33 million (US$37.6 million). The selected partner will have to provide €8 million (US$9.11 million) of private capital.
Udine is located in the middle of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region, between the Adriatic Sea and the Alps, less than 40 kilometers from the Slovenian border. It has a population of approximately 100,000 inhabitants.
Interested parties must submit their applications in Italian on or before May 16.
