The City of Quebec has received permission this summer from the Government of Quebec to relaunch the procurement process for the development of the City tramway PPP project. Based on this, the City of Quebec has issued two Requests for Qualifications (RFQs) for interested developers.
The tramway project is divided into two separated tender processes- one for suppliers of rolling stock and another one for the design and construction of infrastructure. The call for qualification for rolling stock targets the design and supply of tram trainsets. The deadline to submit the responses for this RFQ is November 25, 2021. More information can be found here.
The call for infrastructure includes the design, construction, financing and maintenance of the 19 km line, stations and hubs. The deadline to submit the responses is January 25, 2022. More information about this business opportunity can be found here.
