Angola’s Ministry of Transport has received two proposals to manage Angola’s new Dr António Agostinho Neto International Airport (AIAAN).
One group bidding for the management of AIAAN includes Corporacion America Airports (CAAP), Mota-Engil Engenharia e Construção, and BestFly, while another group consists of China National Aero-Technology International Engineering Corporation and Yunnan Airport Group. The public tender, launched in November 2023, offers a 25-year concession with a potential 15-year extension.
AIAAN is designed for the largest commercial aircraft and has a capacity of 100,000 flights, 15 million passengers, and 130,000 tons of cargo annually. Cargo flights began last year, with commercial passenger flights starting in late 2024.
