Two proposals received for rehabilitation work of Nelson Piquet International Speedway

The Federal District government of Brazil has received two proposals from private developers for the Nelson Piquet International Speedway PPP project. Comercial Calbox Serviços Comércio Importação e Exportação and consortium of Consórcio Autódromo BSB, made up of RNGD Consultoria de Negócios and Rígido Engenharia submitted their bids for the project. The concession period will be 35 years.

Located in capital of Brazil,original circuit of 5 km long Nelson Piquet International Speedway was built between 1971 and 1977 on the site of the Barra da Tijuca road course. The rehabilitation work will include complete renovation of the lane, the boxes, the bleachers and other structures spread throughout the lot, with a total area of 726,822 square meters and construction of centers of excellence for the sport. Total investment required for the works is approximately BRL 73.15 million (US$ 19.77 million).
