The Ministry of Transportation and Public Works (MTOP) in Ecuador has received two proposals from private consultants to provide technical assistance for the Guayaquil Southern Viaduct PPP project in Guayas.
The project involves the design, financing, construction, operation and maintenance of a 44.2 km long four-lane highway including a 3.44-km long bridge over the Guayas River. Known as South Bridge, it will be the longest bridge in Ecuador.
The authority will now review and evaluate the proposals in order to select the most convenient in technical, economic, financial and social terms. The selected bidder will deliver pre-feasibility and feasibility studies for the development project which will be utilized to formulate international public tender. The consultant could also provide services for preparatory and pre-contractual phases of the project.
