Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) has announced that it has appointed Turner and Townsend to serve as commercial adviser for the MetroLink project. This project will deliver a high speed, high capacity, high frequency, modern and efficient public transport service for people travelling along the Swords/Airport to City Centre corridor in Dublin.
In addition, MetroLink will connect to an existing surface light rail line, enabling through running metro services from Swords to Sandyford, giving an overall metro length) of approximately 26 kilometres. TII intend for construction to commence in 2021, with the system open for passenger services by 2026/2027.
Turner and Townsend wll undertake services including tender documentation review, cost estimation, procurement and tender management, commercial reviews and contract administration services.
