The Philippine Public-Private Partnership Center has announced that together with the Asian Development Bank (ADB), and the Cities Development Initiative for Asia (CDIA), it is transferring the Project Preparation Study (PPS) of the proposed Tri-City Ferry System Project to the beneficiaries, the Cities of Dagupan and Alaminos in Pangasinan, and San Fernando City in La Union.
The PPS was developed with a CDIA grant to the beneficiary cities and the turnover took place at the Marco Polo Hotel in Ortigas, Pasig City. The event included a technical presentation of the final report, followed by a workshop to determine the next phases of the project. The project involves:
The project will revive a sea transport system that aims to improve connectivity among the cities, boost the tourism potential of the loop and the region, and enhance economic growth.
