Transport Infrastructure Ireland awards motorway service area PPP

The National Roads Authority of Ireland has published a contract award notice for Tranche 2 Service Areas, a PPP Contract that comprises the design, construction, operation, maintenance and financing of two service areas on the M6 motorway at Athlone and the M9 at Kilcullen.

The contract was awarded to Beech Hill Gateway Services in July 2018. One other proposal was submitted. The tender for the project was originally launched in April 2014.

In addition to the services described above, the company will fit-out and operate a further service area on the M11 at Gorey.
