Transaction Advisor sought for African hydropower project

The Governments of the United Republic of Tanzania and the Republic of Malawi are searching for Public Private Partnership (PPP) Transaction Advisory Services for the development of Lower Songwe Dam and Hydropower Plant (HPP).

The services will be financed by the New Partnership for Africa’s Development - Infrastructure Project Preparation Facility (NEPAD-IPPF).

The services under this project include:

(i) Comprehensive review, analysis and update of existing studies, completion of due diligence and preparation of a PPP transaction plan;

(ii) Development of transaction documents and support during bidding process;

(iii) Advisory assistance until commercial close; and

(iv) Preparation and organization of a training programme aimed at representatives from the Governments of Tanzania and Malawi as well as local lawyers and experts involved in the negotiation and implementation of the project in the energy sector. 

Deadline for the tender is 7 December 2018.
