Infrastructure Ontario has announced that the request for proposals stage of the tender for the Rutherford Station Project has closed. Three teams - EllisDon Infrastructure Transit, Link Rutherford Station and Steelhead Constructors - were shortlisted to design, build and finance upgrades to the station, located in Vaughan, and invited to respond to a request for proposals in November 2017. All three teams have submitted proposals.
Over the next several months, submissions will be evaluated and a successful proponent is expected to be announced in late 2018.
The successful bidder will deliver, among other things, new parking facilities, rail/road grade separation, new platforms and new track.
