The Management Board of Municipal Infrastructure and Transport of Krakow (ZIKiT) in Poland has shortlisted three consortia to participate in competitive dialogue regarding a fast tram PPP project in the city. Out of which one will be awarded a 24-year PPP contract to design, construct, finance, operate and maintain a 4.5km-long tram line.

The successful bidder will also extend the existing Mistrzejowice tram loop, construct a 940m-long tunnel with an underground stop and reconstruct approximately 10.3km of the street-road system surrounding the tramway. Construction is expected to be completed within four years of financial close.
