Three bidders shortlisted for high school PPP in Alberta

The provincial government of Alberta in Canada has shortlisted three consortia for the development of five high schools development in Blackfalds, Edmonton, Leduc and Langdon.

The shortlisted consortia are as follows:

  1. Alberta Partnership for Learning (AP4L) -- Graham Capital Partners LP, GEC Architecture, Graham Design Builders LP, Johnson Controls Canada LP, and Gibbs Gage Architects
  2. Concert-Bird Partners - Concert Infrastructure Ltd., Bird Capital Limited Partnership, BR2 Architecture, Bird Construction, Wright Construction Western Inc., and Ainsworth Inc., 
  3. Plenary-Maple High Schools - Plenary Americas LP, Stantec Architecture Ltd., Maple Reinders Constructors Ltd., and Honeywell Canada Limited

All three bidders will be invited to submit the response to the RFP, which is expected to be completed in July 2021. The contract award procedure is scheduled to take place in September 2021. The five new high schools are anticipated to open in September 2024 with a total student capacity of about 6,938 students.
