The One Destination announced an investment agreement with Singapore's Terne Holdings, a multi-sector investment group, and BTS Bernina Private Equity Fund to develop Vietnam's first ESG-focused real estate complex in Da Lat.
Under the agreement, the joint venture between BTS and Terne Holdings will hold a 30% stake in The One Destination, the developer behind the Haus Da Lat project. This development, covering 5 hectares, involves a total investment of approximately VND 1.700 billion (USD 68 million). Located near the scenic Xuan Huong Lake, a landmark of Da Lat, the project will establish Vietnam's first ESG-compliant real estate complex on the last prime land available in Da Lat's city center.
The decision by international partners to choose Da Lat for their first investment in Vietnam underscores the city’s distinctive charm. They highlight Da Lat’s unique appeal as a highland city in a tropical country, offering cool weather year-round, serene lakes, expansive pine forests, breathtaking waterfalls, and vibrant flower fields. The Ministry of Transport's plan to upgrade Lien Khuong Airport to an international hub is expected to stimulate Da Lat's economy, tourism, and the entire Lam Dong province. In the first half of 2024, Lam Dong saw a 12% rise in visitors, reaching 5 million. By the end of 2024, the province aims to attract 10 million visitors, including 550,000 international tourists. Under the 2030 plan, Lien Khuong Airport will expand to almost 487 hectares, with a capacity for 5 million passengers annually from around the world.
