The Federal Police are investigating irregularities in the bidding process for the project, which has also been questioned by the Court of Auditors of the State of Bahia and of the State and Federal Public Ministry. The police have issued seven search and siezure warrants in order to locate additional evidence. The Federal department in Bahia has disclosed that they already have evidence of fraud, overbilling, misappropriation of public funds, corruption and money laundering in the bidding process
