The consortium composed by Koc Holding (40 %), Malaysia's UEM Gorup Berhad (40 %) and Gözde Giri?im (20%) has been the highest bid for the privatisation of Turkey's bridges and highways for US$5.72 billion. The consortium will take over the concession rights including operation and maintenance of 1,975-kilometre toll roads in Turkey, two connecting roads and two bridges for a period of 25 years. The UEM Gorup is one of the biggest highway operators in the global having highway assets in Malaysia, India and Indonesia. The Group is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Khazanah Nasional Berhad, one of the Malaysian Government's investment arms. Koc Holding is one of Turkey's largest industrial and services group and Gözde Giri?im is a publicly traded private equity investment company
