State Railway of Thailand has scheduled to sign three contracts under Thai-Sino high-speed railway line connecting Bangkok and Nakhon Ratchasima. This 253 km long railway line will be developed under six different contracts and will have six stations at Bangkok, Ayutthaya, Don Muang, Saraburi, Pak Chong, and Nakhon Ratchasima. The total investment value for the project is THB 179.41 billion (US$ 5.74 billion).
The contract to be signed involves civil works for the Ban Pho-Phra Kaew section, Nava Nakhon-Ban Pho section, and maintenance depot located at Chiang Rak Noi.
The authority is planning to sign the remaining contracts for the works of Phra Kaew-Saraburi section, Bang Sue-Don Muang section and Don Muang-Nava Nakhon section soon.
