Thailand to promote transport PPP project in 2022

The Transport Ministry of Thailand has announced its plans to promote the projects in the next fiscal year. The plan is worth THB260 billion (US$7.84 billion) and covers a total of 204 km of new roads and lanes. Three of the included projects are the following:

  • The 16.4 km Ekkachai-Ban Phaeo motorway in Samut Sakhon with a capital value of THB19.7 billion (US$594.24);
  • The 18 km Rangsit-Bang Pa-in motorway in Pathum Thani with a capital value of THB28.13 million (US$0.85 million);
  • The 18.5 km Srinagarindra-Suvarnabhumi airport motorway in Samut Prakan, worth THB35.68 million (US$1.08 million).

The aim of the plan is to ease traffic congestion and improve road connectivity between Bangkok and its surrounding provinces.
