The Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT) has announced plans to launch concessions for the development of power plant and hospital in Songkhla Estate. These infrastructures will attract investments and cover the electricity shortages in the area. IEAT is already conducting relevant studies for both projects.
The power plant will be located in Sadao district and will cope with the electricity consumption. The project's electricity generation facility is expected to sufficiently supply the increased energy demand due to tourism and services.
The hospital project will be developed on Southern Industrial Estate in Hat Yai district. The hospital will provide health-related services to investors and local villages.
