Thailand prioritizes four mega-projects under PPP procurement

State Enterprise Policy Office in Thailand has considered four mega-infrastructure development projects under high priority. The projects under consideration are as follows: 

  • Purple Line running from Tao Poon to Rat Burana
  • Bang Pa-in and Nakhon Ratchasima motorway
  • Bang Yai and Kanchanaburi motorway
  • Phuket mass transit system phase 1 from Phuket International Airport to Ha Yaek Chalong

The combined worth of four mega-projects is THB 160 billion (USD5.27 billion). These four projects are set to be launched by the end of 2021. The State Enterprise Policy Office has launched a 92-project plan which included 18 high-priority infrastructure projects.
