Thailand approves Bangkok airport expansion

The Ministry of Transport and public works in Thailand has approved the expansion of Suvarnabhumi international airport located in Bangkok. The scope of the project involves the construction of three new terminals (North Expansion, East Expansion, and West Expansion) which will increase the airport's annual passenger handling capacity by 60 million. The estimated investment for the project is THB 60 billion (US$ 1.99 billion)

East and West expansion will each cover 66,000 square meters while North expansion will cover 348,000 square meters. The East and West expansion is estimated to cost THB 15.65 billion (US$ 0.52 billion); the North expansion is estimated to cost THB 41.26 billion (US$ 1.37 billion).
